Photonics West 2021 is the world’s premier laser, biomedical optics, and optoelectronics event with over 3,000 technical presentations and more than 350 virtual exhibitors.
This year, Seikoh Giken will highlight connectivity and optical fiber production systems for the large and hyperscale datacenter and volume cable production environments.
The recent release of the IntelliCross LC Duplex Uniboot connector further enhances our datacenter connectivity line-up with a unique Duplex Connector designs which includes a compact, high-density body and proprietary A-B switchable latch for easy polarity changes at the frame. The IntelliCross LC/APC advantage is its “easy and safety for APC polarity change/no direction change for 8 deg”. This is a proprietary feature and is unique to SG.
For large-scale fiber processing, the innovative iSmart SFP-560A2C Production Polisher, with integrated Auto-Lock automated fixture clamping, ensures high-efficiency precision polishing work stations, errorless operator functionality and LAN network connectivity for future automation including barcode batch scanning, remote monitoring and real-time data analytics. Mechanical durability, low operational costs and reduced maintenance requirements offer near zero downtime and quick return on investment.
The FerrulePro Version 3 is the world’s first desk-top workbench fiber endface cleaner offering Wet/Dry handsfree cleaning of MT and MPO termini. Utilizing either Chemtronics or Optimum solvent, the FerrulePro V3 can quickly clean multi-fiber termini in under 3 seconds. Cost per connector is less than traditional click type handheld cleaners. The dual-motion action motion ensures lint-free, moisture free endface. A simple turn of the holder chuck allows the operator to quickly switch from MutliFiber termini to FC, LC, ST and a wide variety of custom termini chucks. New chucks released for MDC and SN connector series.

We deployed 1st Generation Intelli-Cross series (LC Uniboot connector) since 2017 and released “Intelli-Cross Pro” as renewal design on Oct. 2020.
“Pro” is same performance as 1st Gen and keeping Speedy, Easily, and Safety polarity reverse. Furthermore, realized compact design appropriate to high-density solution.
This connector simultaneously polishing available with APC and PC Duplex and realize ultra-high density design by inserting/removing with designated tool.
As the amount of communication traffic increases, DCs are becoming a ultra-high density network cabling environment.

Seikoh Giken presented at Data Center & Storage EXPO in Makuhari Messe (October 28-30th) .
Data Center & Storage EXPO held Oct. 28th to 30th in Makuhari Messe and Seikoh Giken attended the booth (#31-57) at this conference and exhibition.
This exhibition is specializing in Data Center related products. We promoted the cabling solution with a focus on our “new LC Uniboot Connector” to high-density installation needs.
Also we introduced the inspect instrument products related the above connector.

This connector simultaneously polishing available with APC and PC Duplex and realize ultra-high density design by inserting/removing with designated tool, apply with φ2 mm and 3 mm cables.
We also exhibited manufacturing inspection equipment such as the polishing machine SFP-560A and measuring end-face geometry on single-fiber connector instrument DAISI-V3 which were necessary for Intelli-Cross Pro fiber cord assembly.
Lot of people were very interested in Intelli-Cross Pro and some equipments.
