MEDICA is the world’s largest event for the medical sector. This year, Seikoh Giken exhibited for the first time at MEDICA 2022. We showed ultra-precision plastic molded parts for medical/bio-medical sector, such as, ultra-small plastic needle, microfluidic plate, 3D cell culture vessel & disc and ultra-small lens for endoscope camera. We appreciate for visiting our booth this year.

Seikoh Giken releases a new product FAIS (Fiber Auto Inspection System) globally.

　

We are pleased to announce the release of our new product FAIS (Fiber Auto Inspection System), which we have been developing with HM Solution in South Korea.
FAIS is an automated inspection system that can perform the inspection by the polishing holders after polished passive elements such as ferrules, and optical connectors/cables.
It enables automatic PASS/FAIL (scratches, pits) judgment of optical connectors based on IEC standards.

Until now, end face inspection means that an operator removes the optical connector one by one from the polishing holder, inserts them into a microscope, and makes a PASS/FAIL judgement.
Unlike traditional methods, this system can automate these end face inspection processes and it contributes to shorten the end face inspection time and save labor, and standardize the end face inspection process.
In this way, FAIS provides innovative efficiency to our polishing machine users in their manufacturing process of optical connector cables.

From now on, we will exhibit and introduce the new product FAIS in our booth at optical communication exhibitions held in Japan and overseas.
